Snowshoeing

Nordic Skiing

Nordic skiing is a great way to get some exercise and enjoy the winter scenery.  Angel Fire has many trails that are perfect for Nordic skiing. You can rent Nordic skiing equipment at many local businesses.

Night skiing is a great way to experience the thrill of skiing in a whole new way–under the stars! Angel Fire Resort offers night skiing on select nights.


Tubing at Angel Fire Resort

Tubing is a great way to have fun in the snow with friends and family. Angel Fire Resort has a tubing hill that is perfect for people of all ages. You can also rent tubes at the resort or bring your own. The tubing hill is equipped with a magic carpet lift, just in case you were worried about teaching the little ones to get off on a standard life. 


Polar Bear Plunge

The Polar Bear Plunge is a popular  event hosted by Friends of Eagle Nest Lake and Cimarron Canyon State Parks. It takes place on New Year's Day in Eagle Nest, New Mexico. Participants take a plunge into a cold body of water, such as a lake or pool. The event is a great way to start the new year with a challenge and to support a good cause. All proceeds from the event benefit Friends of Eagle Nest Lake and Cimarron Canyon State Parks.


Sleigh Rides

One of the most popular activities to do in Angel fire is horse-drawn sleigh rides for all ages. Sleigh rides are a great way to experience the beauty of the snow-covered mountains and forests of Angel Fire. These rides typically take 30 minutes to an hour.
