Each year, the Raton Lions Club sets up a series of handcrafted scenes depicting a drive-thru story of Jesus, inviting visitors to drive through and experience the magic of the holiday season. The display is a beloved local attraction, drawing people from near and far to make for a fun family tradition.

Friends of Sugarite Canyon will be hosting their annual Christmas on Chicorica Creek in the Sugarite Canyon Boardwalk area. Come enjoy a walk among the decorated riverwalk complete with star gazing and warm beverages. Marshmallow roasting over a barrel fire will be available to visitors. Dress warmly as the event occurs predominantly outdoors. Santa and his coal miner friend will be present for photographs from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
